Marriage Minute 3-31-2019

Philippians 2:5-8 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

What was Jesus thinking? He served us, He served the Father by becoming a man and willingly dying on the cross. Jesus was obedient, even to the point of death.  He was our example of how we are to serve one another.

Philippians 2: 17 “Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith…”

Paul said he was being poured out as an offering to the Lord. In a Christian marriage, we should be willing to serve one another and be a living sacrifice unto the Lord.

Husband and Wife Prayer: Lord, help us to sacrificially serve one another.
